Fridge

Nothing too exciting to report on today. The Professor and I were just debating the correct lyrics to the old "Spoonman" song by Soundgarden while I rattled two spoons against my knee. Turns out we were both wrong. Yup, it's a quiet day.

So, for lack of anything else, here's a picture of my freezer door.

You can learn quite a bit from what people stick on their refrigerators. What this says about me, I'm not quite sure.

So what did you think were the lyrics, and what are they really?
I met Artis the Spoonman, about whom the song was written. He was, for lack of a better word, interesting. He did indeed play the spoons, and he eventually gave me his CD (signed) as repayment for a favor. The CD was... something else. And I still wonder why Soundgarden wrote that song...
ps--the Spoonman mentions Soundgarden in his liner notes. Weird.

We were offering up what we thought Chris Cornell rambled about midway through the song (after the spoon solo). Though the lyrics online vary, it appears the line is either "come on while I get off" or "come on, will I get on." We weren't close in our guesses.

I have an Artis the Spoonman album, as well. My Dad met him while traveling for work about 12 years ago and picked up his tape for me. Strange album. Really strange.

Your freezer says, "I'm relatively new in town and have been hoodwinked into believing that Butterfly is the best I can do for Chinese around here."

You'll learn.
